Ranger Ink Adirondack Color Wash or Dylusions in various colors, at least 3

Note: Color Wash colors are muted and have brown undertones. Dylusions are clear and vibrant. I like to mix the two together.

 

Preferably: Red, Yellow, Blue

  • Reds: Red Pepper, Cranberry
  • Yellow: Butterscotch, Lemon Zest
  • Blue: Turquoise, London Blue, Denim

Paper

Tissue Paper-white>minimum 10 sheets, Gift wrap or archival white tissue

*archival tissue can be purchased online on Amazon

Lining Fabric

Sheer (transparent) fabric with an open embroidery design>1/4 yard

This is fused to the reverse side of the paper facing the inside of the votive. When the luminary is lit, the design of the lace is revealed subtly.

*This can be found in most fabric stores in the formal fabrics or drapery fabrics.

Glass votive

Round or Square

Example=3” diameter x 9” high

Purchase enough lining to cover the size of your votive

*I have purchased these in the dollar stores, online and found various types i charity shops/garage sales

Embellishments

Scraps of yarn, ribbon, etc.

Extra pieces of painted tissue

Accents (optional)

Wire accents-Wire in various gauge, tools (I will provide tools), beads (various sizes and colors) (I will provide a basic selection)

*I can provide a wire “kit” with 2 gauges of wire for a small fee.

Base

An optional base can be made with left over painted tissue paper and a scrap piece of interfacing>1/4 yard (I can have scrap interfacing on hand)

Glue

Small bottle of good white glue

Tube of 3M brand

Gel Medium

Liquitex or Golden brand, 8 oz. Regular matte gel medium

Fusible Web

1 yard of wonder under

Paper scissors

Ruler

Inexpensive flat paint brush, ½”

Spreading tool>old hotel key or plastic palette knife

Water bottle with fine mist spray
